Eid Al Fitr Recipes

LA Times readers are being made aware of the commencement of Eid Al Fitr today and the way this post-fasting holiday season is marked by the sharing of sweet dishes.

These readers are given several Eid recipes that come from Sarah al-Hamad's upcoming cookbook "Cardamom and Lime: Recipes From the Arabian Gulf," celebrating the rich cuisines of the Arabian Gulf -- Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
