Emiratis Like all Things Gold, Especially Australia’s Gold Coast

Emirati tourists soon could fly direct to Australia’s Gold Coast after a meeting between Emirates Airlines and airport bosses this week.

Emirates Airline is looking at the possibility of servicing the Gold Coast with regular flights and private charters.

On 13 August, Gold Coast Airport boss Paul Donovan gave Emirates Airlines Australia boss Stephen Pearce a tour of the new-look gateway precinct and said:

“The Gold Coast is the place the Middle-Easterners love to visit. We are on the radar for Middle-East travellers.”

The Middle-Eastern market spent $93 million in the city last year.
