The Moonsighting Committee met this evening after prayers, gazed up into the skies and agreed that they had seen what they needed to declare that this Saturday, 22 August 2009, is the day when Ramadan will commence in the UAE.Saturday will be the first day of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
